I looked at the press release again, which is where I got the idea that Benji blended it, and you're right -- it doesn't say that. It sounds like it was Rodriguez's concept, and he should get credit where credit is due. (There is an interview on the CA blog with Mike Giannini that clears this up.) Thanks for the correction Patrick.

I was under the impression that the cigar was blended by Rick Rodriguez, who has studied under Benji Menendez. Rick was in town recently and told me that while he consulted with Benji on the blend, Benji didn’t put out the final product, encouraging Rick to do it on his own.
